GO! Smell the flowers wins a blogging award…

July 3rd, 2007 by Jim

Thanks to the banter and debate we encourage at GO! Smell the flowers we’ve picked up an award for our blog and proudly display our badge in the right hand column on our blog.

Happy days! Thanks to the bloggers over at oneeyedview for the nomination.

Thinking Blogger was started by Ilker Yoldas at The Thinking Blog, with the premise “Too many blogs, not enough thoughts!”. GO! Smell the flowers is very honoured that Oneeyedview thought that what we post here is thought-provoking enough to make you think and to engage YOU into posting a comment and entering a discussion.

We are pleased to accept the award and pay it forward to five other bloggers because we would like to promote those who think before they write, explore and make us think. More importantly, without our regulars and those who comment on our space this blog is worthless anyway. So its your award too! Thanks for all your contributions.

In return we’d like to nominate 5 blogs for the award, all equally appealing to us and blogs that we read and respect on a regular basis, so feel free to GO! try them out:

1) Stoneman and his Miscellany from the past blog.

2) Humour over at the little Aussie cynic blog.

3) Fellow writer Mike French with his ’view from here’ who recently posted a promotion clip for his book the dandelion tree on youtube.

4) J phillips and his pearls of wisdom about the blogosphere over at smart, welathy and rich.

5) Oh and not forgetting High heels and stockings. :0)

Take a look at them and for other bloggers who choose to participate, please make sure you pass this list of rules to the blogs you are tagging:

1. If, and only if, you get tagged, write a post with links to 5 blogs that make you think.
2. Link to this post so that people can easily find the exact origin where it started.
3. Optional: Proudly display the ‘Thinking Blogger Award’ with a link to the post that you wrote (here is an alternative silver version if gold doesn’t fit your blog).

Happy flower smelling and thanks again for the award and to all who post comments at GO! Smell the flowers.

Well done team flowers.

Looks like all your work is paying off.

That 275 comment discussion on charity will take some beating. Is it a record?

Why all the congratulations for the administrators of the blog - it wasn’t them that made the subject ‘work’
You all deserve a pat on the back

Angry EP, you really should check out corset girls blog - just click on her name above. We had to take the bold comments off our post as it corrupts our text so you’ll just have to read it again…..

Alas, yet again anything with blogspot in it is out of bounds for me here in my little dusty corner of paradise.

I can access you tube from my home but work has it firewalled.
BBC news is still blocked here yet BBC 24 is freely available on the TV. Most countries have censorship of some form, even the UK and US, its just way more open here.

You had better not fill your tax return in wrongly Gareth, as we all know what could happen to you in ‘the land of the free!’

Gareth can you get Monkey Magic over there?

If so any clues what happened in the end- they just always seemed to be travelling through the field with the skinhead on the horse, monkey having just despatched a number of sea slug baddies through using his cloud and extendable pole (ooh pardon), Sandy having spent the whole episode being a rubbish bowlhead and pigsy having fallen for the sea slugs ‘honey trap’ of a decent looking chinese bird who ends up being a baddy.

I reckon they are still in that field.

Why didn’t they all just get on Monkeys cloud and travel to wherever it was they were going that way?

Monkey magic and the term bowljead. All part of my early teens.

The ape with no chest hair left and he plucked one out everytime the cloud came.

Time I plucked one out.
