Go! Smell the slight optimism!

Yes folks - one of those mad midnight hour moments to share - Mandy has been checking the webcam on Rhosneigr beach - Anglesey - as a prelude to a possible weekend visit.
We just sat down and she thought she’d login and see what the beach looked like, forgetting it is now dark!
However, we got an even bigger surprise - the camera seems to be stuck on sunset! - how nice.
So have you had any surprises when you’ve logged onto a particular site - something other than what you expected to see on a regularly visited website?
Yes, on my own. I opened my site expecting to see one thing and saw a different thing. Blogger scheduler posted the wrong post or did I get confused either way it was funny and confusing because I couldn’t sleep and it was 2 am.
I also found this site called Wordle.net and it creates word art. You enter the words and it displays them in sort of a word cloud with the words typed the most being the largest. Well, I did one for my site and then, went to my regular sites to visit and six of them had words explaining they had stolen it from Clueless. It was flattering and I keep finding at least one per day. It is a good therapuetic tool or something just for fun.

Rhosneigr beach - oh the memories of that place, our first camping trip as a family in the late 70’s where us boys helped Dad put the tent up in the pouring rain -it was worth it watching the low flying jets from RAF valley!
To the question at hand - quite enjoy the Google sign when it changes to recognise a key date but one heart stopper in mind was when were on on the 1&1 server at GO! Smell the flowers it crashed and we lost the comlete blog with over 26,000 comments, 1700 posts and a partridge in a pear tree….RYK and the gang backed up every other day, saved the day and 1 month later switched servers to them where we now tick over from Mumbai on shiny new servers.
Phew!

I can’t remember the website but because it is that commonly mispelled, if you do mispell it, it sends you to the National Dyslexia website.

A few years ago.. when Moppet was about 2 I logged onto Disney for her, only to find it had been hacked and was redirecting to a rather bad Porn site… needless to say we quickly changed sites to one which was secure.. but it was a close call…. hehehehe…
