Yes Ok I know it’s a bit of a thin link but to be honest I was dying to try out image uploading on GSTF’s since the move as i haven’t been able to - thanks Deep and Jim for helping!
Anyway - back to the post.
Recently, a group of divers were washed out to sea (where else?) and managed to clamber to shore only to find themselves on the island of Komono Dragons (have I spelt that right?).
Apparently the wee beasties were not pleased to see them (note the Star Trek reference there) and were quite territorial (fancy that?)
It made me dream of waking up in the shoes (or should that be flippers) only to be eye to eye with one of these dragons - you could have been forgiven for thinking you’d washed up on some lost island.
All that would have been needed would have been Doug Mcclure running out of the vegetation closely followed by a fur bikini clad Ms Welsh (i told you this got better!).
So what’s your desert island fantasy? and if you were washed up on a desert island, what would be your first task?

wasn’t he responsible for Tarzan? - sat mornings weren’t the same without Ron Ely wrestling a few lions and saving a few tribes…

Safety~To look for any dangers (critters, animals, plants, etc.. and whatever else I have forgotton). This is after I’ve check the well being of myself and others.

If I were to get stranded on an island, I would be like Robinson Crusoe, living on the island using whatever rusted knowledge I have..if I manage to live for a week, it means I can survive, or else..Ahh..I am going to die..

First task…
Charge up the ipod of course! Start by ticking all the survival boxes - food, water, fire and a bouncy castle - peruse the perimeter and get a sense of the lie of the land before it all goes ‘Lord of the Flies’.
good job they do those little solar re-charges now…. i hear palm trees have some right dodgy wiring sometimes…. too many rum punches at lunchtime consumed by island electricians i fear.

I’d blackberry property developers, macdonalds, starbucks, hotel groups etc and try to sell off the island.
Mac’s could book you to do the official opening! Mind you, bet they’d still get your drive-thru order wrong and by the time your half way round the island, its too late to turn back.
