GO! Smell Gareth in China!
March 22nd, 2008 by Jim & EmGO! Smell the flowers is now very difficult to access in China due to a censorship clampdown. ;(
Fellow founder Gareth in China has emailed us explaining his frustration of not be able to post comments or articles here. We suspect it maybe due to the censorship with recent GO!ngs on over Tibet. He sends his best regards and wishes he was involved for BLOG idol and we’ll be sending him periodic highlights of the GO!ngs on here and have decided to preserve his Founders status and hope he gets back with us soon.
Gareth’s wisdom and input here will be missed and we hope he finds a way to sneak under the radar or relocates to another part of the world for the sake of flowers! He has been a (*) to date and really helped shape the garden. We’ve agreed to cut n paste any comments relating to the internet in China right here as we keep him posted!
So, if you have any message for Gareth leave it in comments and tell us where do you think Gareth in China should jump on a plane and relocate to? For the benefit of GO! Smell the flowers, you understand!

I am missing GIC and wondering what had happened! Not good news for our flowers garden.
I think Gareth should locate to the land of OZ!! I’m not being biased here, I believe he would fit right in with the culture and it may be somewhere he hasn’t had the opportunity to visit as yet! There are many Chinese here too so he wouldn’t miss china altogether… although the banned smoking pubs etc my be a problem :S

just so long as he doesnt move to Sydney…. although there is china Town so he would havent miss anything and his new bride would feel right at home… you can get anything to do with China there…..

I have been to Australia, Melbourne and Cairns. I did some great diving on the barrier reef, absolutely awesome sights.
Funnily enough last month I was talking to some guys in our company about a job in Melbourne however they decided on a different job spec to the one I had in mind and I have to stay here a while yet so I passed on it.

I reckon if you moved to Oz he could utilise his environmental expertese with the CSIRO or one of the new companies open up with the new government living up to most of their environmental election promises…. lots of openings… and we are nice people….

Heard our local chinky was looking for more staff - water’s safe and polution is definately lower.

I don’t have to say it do I? With Gareth’s departure, Flowers has lost part of itself. There’s no other way to say it.
Kid yourselves not, all of the potential new founders’ posts put together do not replace a Gareth-at-his-best in comments.
This is a big loss. Truly. I think I will go lie down a little now.
He’ll be back. A man of his caliber will doubtless be promoted to greater things in the 1st world soon, then you’ll wish he was still in China.
We are feeling his loss….
