I love my mum, first memory, going to nursery and being scared when she left me for the first time. I reckon she was probably more scared, I was a clumsy little mite so she probably expected a broken arm or summut.
Today, I am home with her so I shall be taking her to the pub, then we are cooking a roast together. Which strangely she finds more enjoyable than eating out at overly inflated prices.
Fine by me.

If i were ever to forget i can rely upon a web based flower company to fill my in-box with a suggestion to send flowers for mothers day, fathers day, waitangi day, valentines day, mother-in-laws getting out of jail day, christmas day, new years day, independance day, hallowen, easter sunday, etc etc

but my memeory of her is of one who sacrificed everything for me, she was a rock, and mashmallow at the same time….
This is the best mother in law wedding invitation I know and have…. it is a hoot…..

My Mum got a big bunch of flowers today (via my brother who still lives in the next town), and a soppy card I posted earlier in the week which she held up in church service she was leading this morning as an example to all the little boys and girls when she asked the question “had they remembered Mother’s Day?”.
We took Mandy to Hopton Hall (near Carsington Resevoir) to walk around the snowdrops before their season ends. Now we’re cooking a fantastic indian curry and a bottle of bubbly for later.

Lord me! British cuisine is really all about curry huh? You guys even home-cook it now!! Whatever happened to roast beef and Yorkshire pudding ??!

As for the ROast Beef - the rest of the family are all Vegetarians so I’m out-numbered but healthier for it I think.

I am pleased to say that I am just about to tuck in to a roast pork dinner with yorkshire pudding (thats the kind of mum I’ve got, doesn’t care about traditional accompaniments, have I said already how much I love her?)
